My Toast

My first impression; another Old Town?
To be frank, i find that it is much better than Old Town.

Kopi $1.40

Clear and clean setup, with menu on top and sides of the counter.
Thick Toast with Butter and Chicken Floss $1.80
Look how generous is the floss being spread over the thick toast.

Mee Siam $3.50
Decent taste, nothing to pick on.

Famous KL Curry Chicken with Toast $5.50
Normally, curry will comes with sliced baguette bread.
But at My Toast, curry comes with 2 slices of toast bread (as shown) which greatly enhanced the taste.

Close up and you could see the Tau Pok in the curry.

 My French Toast Special $3.20
Thickly spread of peanut butter coupled with golden brown french toast bread, finished off with honey on top.
A must try for those that love peanut butter!

Petaling Street Chee Cheong Fun - Curry $2.80
Heard that its common in KL but definately not in SG.
Taste like curry Kuey Teow to me, and a bit bland.

Nasi Lemak $4.50
Combination of chicken wing, ikan bilis and sunny side-up egg.
Portion and taste are decent but i like the chicken wing which is not oily and with right level of marination.

My recommendation:

Chocolat Factory

125 grams of BIG emotions?
How is emotions being weigh and put a price tag on it?
Thats how choclate factory uses their chocolate to weigh against the happy emotions that you will be able to get from chocolate!

Notice each bright yellow box imprinted with the phase " the pleasure boxes".

Overall, i can't comment much on the quality as i only manage to eat one piece out of the whole box.
(Will update this entry when there is more information)
However, when i was making my choices, the variety available seems to be lesser than other chocolate boutique.
I am definitely attracted to the clean and clear message of emotions out of CHOCOLATE :)
Are you?

Coffee Bean Breakfast

Anyone tried the Coffee Bean Breakfast yet???
It has been a long time since i go to the nearby coffee bean outlet on a lazy sat morning.

Brek-O-Day Breakfast ($7.70)
I ordered the brek-o-day set which comes with free flow of coffee or tea.
A good start for the day when you just want to laze around some place, sipping coffee and read the papers.

Well, i was there writting; updating my new 2011 organiser and of course with my coffee in hand :)

Greetings (P.Osh)

During the festive season, greetings from corporate partners is an unspoken practice in the industry.
This year, the most memorable is the 5-piece customised brownies.

My colleague done a check online and the webby specifically stated that it will only last for 3 days. Moreover, such customisation cost about $34!

Close up of the "christmas tree".
Seriously, i was never a fan of brownie. My reaction from the first bite was: Soooooooo SWEET!
I didn't survive a 3rd bite....
However, i believe with the attractive designs and customisation service available, P.Osh will still win alot of votes.
Anyone interested can check it out at their outlet at Dhoby Ghaut :)

贡茶 (Gong Cha)

Yes, i know that its has been a trend in SG for long time. I first tried Gong Cha when it opened its outlet in Novena Sq. Pictures taken but have not done any upload :P

贡茶 - 献给宫廷的茶,tea fit for royalty.

This craze has been going around and drinking Gong Cha is like a must beverage after the hush hush 1-hr lunch for each office lady.

Outlet at Novena SQ

Menu for all the teas varieties as well as others such as juice and coffee

Each signature Gong Cha is labelled with the preferred way to savour the drink

You may placed your customised drink in accordance to the level of sweetness and any add-ons.
To prevent any mix up of the drinks, each cup will be labelled with the type of tea and the level of sweetness selected.
Isn't that friendly :)
I have tried KOI some times back, but i personally felt that Gong Cha offers more varieties and good quality on the add-ons such as jelly and pearl. I particularly love their Ai-Yu jelly, 爱玉冻 and Herbal jelly, 仙草冻.

Recommendation:
Must try their signature Gong Cha (A1-A4) with add-ons of your choice.
Another special one would be (D11) Fresh milk with Herbal jelly, 鲜奶仙草冻. I have attempted to modify my order to mix it with Ai-Yu jelly which creates a very unique taste.
And, yes, it tasted good. Even the crew also praise me for that, heeeeee.

Word of advice:
Really need to try from Novena outlet becos i feel that the quality is not consistent for the other outlets.
